Big cook, little cook

Bea enjoys preparing food at the moment. He has whipped up pancakes for breakfast totally unaided a few times now, and is also into his little desert creations. Here's his strawberry whirls!!

Bea and Ili were chuffed today to receive their Easter bundle today from Nanny and Grandad! And although we are almost swimming in chocolate here, you can't beat Cadbury's Mini Eggs!!

 

Sunny day and late Easter Egg hunt

Pissed it down all day on Friday (so, DIY and movies by the fire), but Saturday more than made up for it and we couldn't start our Easter Egg hunt until the sun went down as the chocolate would have melted! Bea spotted swallows this morning with his binoculars, we heard the cuckoo and Bea got some good footage of a buzzard on his camera trap from the night before (baited it with a Toulouse sausage!). Bea and Ili jumped on the trampoline more than they ever have before, so lots of giggles there. More daisy chains, tree climbing, gardening, and the Easter Egg hunt this evening.

Arrived at Neuvic

Arrived at the house on Thursday, and got stuck into some gardening. Bea and Ili enjoyed making daisy chains, climbing their trees and running a riot.

Only a few hours in the early morning before we had to rush off and leave the lovely Uzés. But enough time for the children (or rather Ili) to make friends with a cute tabby and take him for a walk.

Easter weekend, and a short stopover at one of my favourite provençal towns —and the first time we've been with the children. Could easily have stayed longer!

Spring is springing!!

We were blessed with a very sunny weekend, so got stuck into the garden on Saturday, with a nice long walk in the woods on Sunday to collect frogspawn for our pond. We walked around the edge of the zoo where Bea and Ili spied on the tigers (where you can see them better than from in the zoo, and without the crowds!).

Back to the garden

Started to become spring like this week and took a trip to the garden with Ili and friend.

Fresh faced

Just a little pic of Bea after we got home from the city swimming baths looking a bit cute! Had a lazy weekend overall, and finally completed Bea's high bed . . .

Milan Cathedral

Only had a few hours in Milan but this was enough to get to the cathedral and up onto its terraces. Again, more steps for the kids to rocket up! An awesome building inside and out, and definitely worth a visit.

Florence and Milan

We had the morning in Florence before stopping off at Milan on the way back home. Beautiful sunny morning and had a quick jaunt around Florence one last time. You might be able to see that in one of the images taken around the Palazzo della Signoria, the children finally found something interesting among the sculptures - an injured pigeon!
