Halloweeeeeen!

The dressing up and pumpkin carving was the best bit of Halloween this year. Bea was out with a few friends after to go trick-or-treating, but there were too many boisterous boys running riot for it to be enjoyable for Ili!

Sorry the blog has been so inactive — all had colds, sneezes, and haven't been out and about as much as usual! But, this weekend was Halloween so Bea and Papa cycled up to the garden to collect the pumpkin stash!

Kiddies back to Zürich

Gawack brought the kiddies back to Zürich this weekend — thank you so much Dad!xx — and we had a day out at the Tamina Thermal baths on Saturday together which was fun, and a cold autumnal walk by lake on Sunday (stopping off at the cactus houses).

Walking around the Calanques National Park, French Riviera

Had a beautiful day walking around the headland of the Calanques, near to Cassis and ended up swimming in the sea in a magical little bay (called "Port Pin"). Not bad for October. We camped around here somewhere when I was a wee nipper. . . .

Working Wednesday

More terrace clearing today and had a nice grill after dark on the bonfire, but think the kids are starting to get a little fed up with us working in the garden all the time, so more play tomorrow! Ili was the photographer today.

Monday - Chestnut hunting

In between clearing the terraces, we took a few trips through the woods chestnut hunting as we're surrounded by chestnut forests and it's the harvesting season! We collected sack loads, and hope to roast them on the fire soon!
