After a lot of riding around in pick-up trucks on mud tracks (kids in the boot), and several walks into the forest, the highlight for the children was definitely seeing a herd of Pygmy elephants from the back of the truck after fieldwork on Thursday!!!! We followed them for a while before they disappeared back into the forest. The elephants feed on the grasses by the side of the logging roads (it's an FSC logging site) so we were super-lucky to see thirteen elephants including some calfs. Pictures not so great as we were bumping along in the back of the truck at the time!
